Clean Up Your Skin with Common Sense
If you watch television or read fashion magazines you have no doubt seen ads for very expensive skin products that all promise to be miracles.
They try to convince you that the key to staying young and beautiful is to buy their expensive products. While there are some skin care products that really can help your skin look and feel better, they are not necessarily going to be the most expensive things on the market. And then there is the common sense cure for most skin products that works wonders too. These simple common sense solutions can go a long way towards bringing out your skin’s true beauty.
Don’t overlook the importance of overnight treatments. It’s easy to make your own with ingredients that can be found in the grocery store. It’s really important to develop an effective night time routine when it comes to proper skin care. Your body is very productive as you sleep and it produces a lot of oils during that time. This is the reason you often wake up with an oily or shiny face in the morning – the fact that the sebaceous gland kicks up production during your sleep. The oils are unable to cause breakouts when you use a nighttime skin care system. Self tanning lotion, when applied directly to the skin, actually causes problems for some people that are ultra-sensitive While you might be tempted to lather up while the weather is still overcast, dark and cloudy out, just to get ready for the sunny months, make sure you limit your exposure to natural light after you do so. Self tanning lotions, after they are applied, should not be followed up by tanning in direct sunlight as this could cause sensitivity issues. This includes tanning beds! Most of the time, you should stay away from direct sunlight for at least 24 hours after putting on self tanning creams and lotions.
Don’t allow facial hair to remain. By letting facial hair stay you’re expanding opportunities for clogged pores and other potential skin damage like acne. Who knew there was a reason for removing facial hair that goes beyond cosmetic? Just make sure you don’t use a razor. Waxing and shaving aren’t nearly as effective at getting rid of facial hair and keeping it away as laser hair removal. The risk of skin discoloration is also lower with laser hair removal. There are creams available from a dermatologist. But this is a costly solution. Common sense is your best friend in regard to basic skin care. Being clean is a great decision to make. Product laden is bad. After that it’s really up to how well the marketers can sell to you. As a general rule, you don’t need any of the products they are selling. You really don’t need all of these products. Just use what you have in your house and it should be good enough. Only use your common sense to make your decisions.
